For this contest, you are free to explore different holidays! This can be a holiday from any country anywhere in the world! All that matters is the creativity!
Rules:
Must be a member of this group, new members are allowed! <3
Must include a cat in the main picture (no humans cosplaying as cats!!)(no clothing designs!!)
Limit of 3 entries per person (though you can only win once)
In either the title or artist's comments, include the holiday you represented, even if it is obvious.
If you want your artwork to be included, you MUST submit it to the "Holiday Contest" folder. If you don't, then it won't be acknowledged.
Have fun, take your time and give us some nice work you took your time on! No rush!

- - Don't say that!! You're lovely and your pictures are beautiful. Besides, I am judging based on how much time and effort was put into the art, not so much of the quality. Plus, it doesn't hurt to enter, it's not like you will get stabbed if you don't win 1st place.

Preparation for Article 13
Hello all,
Many of you might be aware of a piece of legislation currently in the process of being passed in the EU, Article 13. It's been designed to protect copyright, however its design is causing a lot of concern in the artistic community - especially those of us who make a living off art.
I'm going to keep watch to see how this situation develops, but it strikes me that uploading content of other peoples' characters (ie., the backbone of what I do here) may become very difficult if this legislation goes through. Further than that, finding customers in the first place may become very difficult.

Long time no see! -Folder rules plus new contest?-
Hey y'all! It's been a while but I'm happy to see that the group is still growing nicely!
First of all, I was going through the various art and please please PLEASE only submit things to this group that have a physical cat in it. This means no people cosplaying as cats and no merchandise relating to cats/including a cat in it. This is not a group for you to submit your commissions lists and such to.
Another thing is to please only submit photographs and drawings that you took time in. If the photograph is so blurry that you can hardly tell what it is (or if you submitted like five photos of the same pose) is not allowed. I have now put limit
Save the Cheetahs!
#Save-The-Cheetah (https://www.deviantart.com/save-the-cheetah) and :iconthe-cheetah-archive: are holding a community-wide event promoting cheetah awareness in which artists of dA submit cheetah-themed artworks on International Cheetah Day, December 4th. The theory behind this project is that dA's main page will be spammed with cheetah art on that day, and people will click to see what it's all about and be directed to information about the dying species.

I may try and enter. But would it count if say, I took a picture of my cat in front of a Chistmas tree if it's Christmas themed? Because I might do that but my cat might not appreciate me dressing him up. So would they need to be dressed up to fit a certain theme?
